COVID-19

UPDATE February 19, 2021

Dear Partner,

In view of the ongoing worldwide shortages of sea containers, we herewith would like to inform you about the consequences on our stock management.

These container shortages have been causing stock problems for months now, especially for our A-listed items, because shipments arrive weeks later than planned. Since the beginning of this crisis, we have started to increase our stocks to avoid those shortages.

The situation has improved somewhat, yet due to the persistent, unpredictable delays and the increase in our sales, it is unfortunately still possible that back orders will arise. Also from A-listed articles!

Air transport is no longer a viable alternative due to the enormous price increase.

At the moment we cannot indicate when these problems are solved. We therefore recommend that you continue to follow the reports about this in the media. Additionally, you can also count on our periodic updates.

We are very sorry to report this and count on your leniency and understanding.

UPDATE December 1, 2020

Dear partner,

With the holidays approaching, we would like to give you an update on the latest developments regarding the Covid-19 virus impact. We are looking forward to the vaccine that is expected around spring next year, which will hopefully allow us to resume our normal life.

We have been informed by a number of suppliers from China that there may be delays in deliveries after the Chinese New Year (most businesses will be closed from 5 to 19 February 2021).

They indicate that there is a chance that employees will have to be quarantined for weeks because of the Covid-19 virus. There are even companies already indicating that they will not open again before March 1st. We try to anticipate as much as possible and have ordered extra supplies that will be shipped before the Chinese New Year.

Please note that if companies in China remain closed in March due to a corona wave, back orders may arise. We are in constant contact with our Chinese partners and will take immediate action should such issues arise, but back orders cannot be ruled out in that case.

UPDATE June 9, 2020

Dear partner,

Given the recent developments regarding the Covid-19 virus, we would like to give you a new update.

As indicated in previous updates, our office is open and accessible. We will continue to follow the instructions to the Dutch government and Ministry of Health institution.
Unfortunately we don’t have optimal staffing level yet, which can lead to delays in delivery of our goods.

We thank you for your understanding in this situation!

UPDATE April 23, 2020

Dear partner,

We hope that you, your loved ones, friends and family are doing well.

As you know we at AE Industries continue to work as previously. Of course within the rules of the government within regard of social distancing and other guidelines.

Tuesday evening the first minor changes has been announced by the Dutch government.

Due to a decrease in the number of incoming orders, unfortunately we are currently forced to reduce our staffing. As a result we might not deliver as quickly as you have been experienced before. Orders will be processed in order of receipt.

Thank you for your understanding in this situation.

Stay safe and healthy!

UPDATE March 20, 2020

Dear partner,

At the moment we are facing unusual times due to the COVID-19 outbreak that no longer only occurs in China, yet also has reached Europe.

Factories in China have started their operations again. The first shipments are expected in May. In the meantime an airfreight delivery is scheduled to arrive mid-April.

Whilst we try to continue our work in the coming period, we will monitor the reports regarding the outbreak closely and we implement the guidelines according to the RIVM (The National Health Service).

We do everything we can to help everyone as well and as quickly as possible. Please be aware that we are dealing with exceptional circumstances that are affecting our services. Currently there is less capacity in our office, this can have consequences for the delivery of our goods.

In order to continue to operate as well as possible these days, we kindly ask you to communicate with us via e-mail as much as possible.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation

Update February 27, 2020

Dear Sir / Madam,

We would like to give you an update about the corona virus from China. Production is gradually starting up again. Personnel from other regions must be in quarantine in the factories.

We are in daily contact with our suppliers and we are monitoring the demand of all relevant articles. We are currently checking when deliveries from China can take place again. If necessary, we will let shipments fly if possible.

As mentioned in our previous e-mail, there are still shipments who will arrive this week and next week that were already on sea transport at the time of the outbreak.

If we have more news about deliveries from China, we will let you know.

Update February 5, 2020

Dear Sir / Madam,

We would like to inform you about the consequences of the corona virus on possible deliveries from China. As you know, factories have been closed throughout China due to the corona virus. Production is currently on hold and new deliveries are being postponed.

There is still enough stock of most products in our warehouse and we expect to receive more this month. However we are uncertain what we can expect the coming months. We are monitoring the situation closely and will update you when we have more information.

We trust that we have informed you to the best of our abilities and hope for the understanding in this situation.
